Award winning Danish designer Susanne Rutzou's designs are renowned for their variety of contemporary structures and prints, which result in Rutzou's effortlessly eclectic, highly wearable image.
Susanne inherited her love of fashion from her grandmother, who was a couture tailor. As a child she was was fascinated by her grandmother's fashionable lifestyle, and at the age of ten, was given a clothing allowance, which enabled her to find and experiment with her own outfits.
After trying her hand at modelling, aged 20, Susanne decided to study design at a prestigious Scandinavian academy. After graduating, she worked for several large Scandinavian fashion houses, including Bruun's Bazaar, always adhering to her motto, ''Fashion should make people feel good, look their best and feel comfortable!''
The Rutzou label was launched into the new millenium with the help of only three employees and Susanne's talents ensured that the company soon expanded throughout Europe. Today, 10 years after it began, Rutzou remains one of Denmark's best-loved exports.
